Why I joined the VNLA

I keep coming back to the same old question: “Why don’t more green industry professionals join their respective regional or state associations?” Many of us have different reasons for joining.

The reason I feel it is important to join the SWVNLA and VNLA is that, as a professional, I am constantly looking for ways to expand my knowledge of our industry and search for other ways to improve our company’s way of doing business.

Being active in a regional, state, or national association is one way of doing that.

You can never have too many green industry learning resources. In addition, the camaraderie and professional contacts you develop with other members is extremely important when growing or maintaining a business. By being active in an association, your fellow members are more likely to lend a hand or offer advice. It’s not good to keep your head in the sand. Get out and met others that are trying to achieve the same goals as you. It will pay off in more ways than you know!
